Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Software Engineer to support a mission-critical Ground Solutions and Mission Support software program. This role is part of a large, highly technical Software Integrated Project Team (IPT) responsible for developing, sustaining, and enhancing multiple operational software product lines in a classified environment.
This position is 100% on-site in a SCIF and supports both new capability development and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) efforts for mission systems used by government customers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform as a C++ software developer in a fast-paced Agile team environment
Design, develop, and unit test new software capabilities based on algorithmic and mathematical requirements
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software discrepancies and defects
Collaborate with senior engineers and subject matter experts across multiple software subsystems
Develop and maintain software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments (VMs, servers, and workstations)
Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance (required at time of application)
U.S. Citizenship required
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5–8 years of software engineering experience
OR Master’s degree with 3–6 years
OR PhD with 1–4 years
(Additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Strong object-oriented programming skills with advanced proficiency in C++
Experience developing software in a Linux (RHEL) environment
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DevSecOps and/or test automation
Experience with additional languages such as C, Java, Python, or Perl
Strong background in mathematics and algorithms
Agile/Scrum team experience
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
Experience using git for version control
Active SCI access upon start

Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $50.00 – $85.00/hr (W2, based on experience)
