Incident Manager
Long-term with Insight Global
Format: Hybrid; 2-3 days per week onsite
Location: based out of Arlington, VA
Rate: $40-50/hour
Responsibilities
• Manage cyber incidents throughout the response lifecycle.
• Create and maintain reports of cyber incidents in case management systems.
• Coordinate with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Analyze information to determine the best response actions.
• Accurately update and track cases and tickets.
• Summarize operations in writing and present to leadership.
• Maintain professional knowledge in record systems.
• Assist teams in applying risk management aligned with national security strategies.
• Support threat and vulnerability management efforts using the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Aid in network security monitoring, system administration, and cybersecurity defense practices.
Required Skills
• TS/SCI clearance; ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
• 5+ years in cyber incident management or operations
• BS in Incident Management, Operations Management, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• HS Diploma with 7-9 years of incident management or cybersecurity experience is acceptable.
• Familiarity with incident response methodologies and NIST 800-62 standards.
• Ability to prioritize incidents and investigate phishing tactics.
• Understanding of general attack stages and types of vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of system administration, Computer Network Defense, and security regulations.
Desired Skills
• Familiarity with operational threat environments and attack methods.
• GCIH, GCFA GISP, GCED, CCFP or CISSP
