Job Description

"The candidate will serve as the Scrum Master for the C2BMC Battle Management Sensor Resource Management (BM/SRM) Regional Space Task Manager (RSTM) team, one of four teams within the BMSRM organization that develops Java-based applications for the Regional Applications team.
Essential Functions:
• Will facilitate and lead the Agile delivery of software capabilities, while also contributing technically as a software engineer
• You will collaborate closely with the BM/SRM Product Owner, team scrum masters, Regional Applications leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the team delivers high-quality software that meets mission-critical requirements
• Generally, has 3+ years of related experience and may hold a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline
Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Scrum Master, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Strong background supporting engineering on DoD programs
• Must have experience as a software engineer, systems engineer, or other technical contributor supporting software development teams
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
• Experience using Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to support Agile software development teams
• Experience decomposing Agile features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Experience with developing Java-based applications in a Linux-based environment
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and SonarQube or equivalent tools
• Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts, such as requirements, use cases, and UML diagrams
• Ability to effectively lead other engineers towards a unified goal
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a technical or Agile leader within a software development organization
• Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and automated testing
• Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment
• Experience leading Agile teams that support complex DoD software systems
• Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)"
