The Opportunity:
Research and Information Review Analyst will manage project workflow from initiation and intake through the full lifecycle to completion. Responsibilities include issuing acknowledgements and final responses to stakeholders; conducting preliminary reviews to determine if additional internal analysis, research, or external collaboration is required; and performing detailed edits to ensure sensitive or restricted information is appropriately handled for research use and dissemination. Prepares reports, summaries, and formal documentation to support leadership review and potential research applications.

Pay Range :
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of documentation and data, applying precise redactions when necessary to protect sensitive information while maintaining research integrity.
- Process and coordinate responses aligned with regulatory frameworks such as Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Prepublication Review requirements, ensuring compliance in research-related outputs.
- Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of analytical findings and documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive project and research records, including all correspondence, methodologies, and supporting materials.
- Administer both mandatory and discretionary information review processes in accordance with federal laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Apply knowledge of classification and declassification methodologies to identify sensitive data elements, assign appropriate controls, and recommend further analysis, consultation, or research collaboration when needed.
- Demonstrate a consistent record of delivering precise, high-quality analytical work within strict timelines.
- Apply strong critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills to support complex analytical tasks, prioritize competing efforts, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Capable of performing multi-level reviews and contributing to broader research and analytical initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated competency in performing complex administrative and analytical tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and advanced analytical abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and specialized review or data analysis platforms.
Desired:
- Comprehensive knowledge of information governance frameworks including FOIA, PA, Prepublication Review, Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR), and Executive Order 13526.
- Experience handling sensitive or classified information in structured analytical or research environments.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration and information-sharing protocols.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
- Receptive to feedback with a commitment to continuous improvement.
