For this Mechanical Engineering position, you will support multiple task orders and must have an understanding of systems engineering and design processes and procedures; this will include Unmanned Systems and Digital Integration efforts supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division.
You will be responsible for technical rigor and provide support to the Program Manager and Chief Engineer on the organization, direction and coordination, planning, and execution of all activities associated with assigned delivery order projects.
You will demonstrate competent writing and oral communication skills.
You will also ensure quality products and services are delivered to the customer.
More About the Role
Your overall primary job responsibility consists of mechanical engineering and integration, project management support, and execution to the Program Manager. Project specific tasks will require knowledge of the system engineering and acquisition process focused on mechanical engineering, and encompass multiple engineering and logistics disciplines, within cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
You will help define mechanical system implementation approach and operational concepts as well as design and develop models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
You will also provide technical support related to implementation of the mechanical elements of system architectures with other staff.
The selected individual must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal oversight and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You will work with CACI Program Manager and DoD customers to capture design requirements and develop products for testing and evaluation. You will be responsible for design and documentation control, to include responsibility for generation and review of technical documentation.
Conduct Analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
You will also support project meetings as assigned.
Working with the Program Manager, and financial and procurement team, you will perform market research analysis of materials and resources, develop and revise rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates, and provide current and historical data for the acquisition of goods and services.
Supporting the Program Manager, you will identify project requirements including justification write-ups, sole-source recommendations, and technical evaluations.
You will closely monitor project team performance, to include vendors, ensuring technical rigor and that materials and parts are delivered on time as well as conformity to the end customer needs.
Other duties as assigned.

You'll Bring These Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline.
- At least 3 years engineering experience.
- Proficiency with CAD software, to include SolidWorks, Solid Edge, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to support management of project schedules and project integrations within site processes.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work and communicate at multiple levels from senior leadership to installation teams.
- Experience with project initiation and tailoring, as well as industry accepted technical rigor practices, to include System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes and practices.
- Experience with tracking project deliverables, milestones, and schedules for systems or software delivery programs.
- Experience with requirements generation, traceability, review, and tracking.
- Experience with program management, Readiness reviews, and Governance boards.
- Experience with conducting technical exchange meetings.
- Experience with working in team environments.
- Demonstrated experience with requirements tracking.
- Demonstrated experience creating, drafting, and reviewing program documentation.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
- Excellent technical writing and data presentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
- Experience managing access and connecting to various databases
- Demonstrated experience with requirements traceability / tracking and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to include DOORS and CAMEO.
- Familiarity with unmanned systems.
- Familiarity with shipboard, ashore, and/or aircraft integration (process).
- 7 years engineering experience.
- 3 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Experience working in DoD community.
- Active security clearance
