Job Description
• Program Manager
• Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
• Duration: Direct hire
• Conversion Salary: $130,000 - 160,000
• Start Date: ASAP – onboarding takes about 1-2 weeks
• Interview: 2-rounds; ideally in-person
Must Haves:
• Background from either DOD/Defense-industry
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, project management, or related field;
• Experience: 4+ years in project management, with 1+ years in program management.
• Experience with EVM key concepts including BAC, EAC, and ETC
• Experience ensuring accurate tracking of costs and budget adherence
• Leadership: Ability to manage indirect teams of 5 or more.
Desired
• MBA preferred
• Experience: 8+ years in project management, with 4+ years in program management.
• Certification: Project Management certification preferred.
Duties:
• Program Oversight: Direct program activities to meet schedules, specifications, costs, and customer objectives.
• Best Practices: Implement program management techniques including planning, scope management, and risk assessment.
• Collaboration: Work with Sales and Bids & Proposals to transition proposals into contracts smoothly.
• Monitoring: Proactively track risks and performance; develop recovery plans as needed.
• Team Leadership: Guide multi-disciplinary teams to achieve contract goals.
• Customer Advocacy: Serve as the main contact for customers, addressing and resolving issues.
• Cost Management: Ensure accurate tracking of costs and budget adherence.
• Evaluation: Assess project phases; provide management with regular status updates.
• Compliance: Maintain organizational and contractual compliance.
• Support: Aid other Program Managers with insights and lessons learned.
• Team Management: May supervise team members and manage performance.
