Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
Summary:
• Lead comprehensive Linux server system administration functions, encompassing configuration, maintenance, monitoring, patching, and upgrades for both on-premise Linux servers and AWS cloud instances.
• Execute the configuration and integration of various hardware and software components to ensure seamless system operation.
• Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Linux operating systems and AWS cloud services.
• Apply strong experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Salt for infrastructure management.
• Leverage working knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as data management platforms including Elasticsearch and Splunk.
• Utilize scripting skills in Bash and Python for system automation and efficiency.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 6+ years
• Salary: $256k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Perform advanced Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and maintain server infrastructure within Linux environments and across AWS cloud instances.
• Implement and oversee server patching, operating system upgrades, and continuous performance monitoring for critical systems.
• Develop and deploy automation scripts and configurations using Ansible or Salt for consistent infrastructure management.
• Configure, integrate, and support various hardware and software solutions to meet operational requirements.
• Provide support and expertise for containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with Elasticsearch and Splunk for log aggregation, analysis, and system monitoring.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and Python to automate routine tasks and enhance system efficiency.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of robust and scalable systems administration solutions.
