Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
Summary:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems.
• Apply expertise in Cloud Computing, Distributed Computing, Information Retrieval, and Object Oriented Design.
• Conduct full lifecycle software development, including requirements analysis, software testing, and applying modern development methodologies.
• Utilize a comprehensive suite of technologies, including Java, Hadoop, virtualization, and various scripting languages.
Qualifications & Compensation:
Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline. A degree may be substituted for 4 additional years of experience.
Years of experience: 12+ years
Salary: $314k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Design, develop, and implement complex Big Data Cloud solutions leveraging technologies such as Java, Javascript, Spring Boot and Hadoop.
• Lead efforts in system enhancement, optimization, and modernization.
• Perform detailed requirements analysis to translate operational needs into technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough software testing and quality assurance activities.
• Apply established software development methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement and manage robust system security practices.
• Utilize Java within JVM environments for core development.
• Work extensively with Big Data technologies including Hadoop, YARN, Map Reduce, HBase, MongoDB, Bigtable, and Apache Avro.
• Develop and manage cloud repository and Big Data solutions.
• Employ scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Ruby for automation and system administration.
• Utilize virtualization platforms like VMWare and Virtual Box.
• Apply knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Maven, and RESTful Web Services.
• Work proficiently in Linux operating environments.
• Leverage tools such as Dataflow, Subversion, and ClearQuest for development and configuration management.
• Apply principles of Software Architecture and Systems Engineering to design and implement robust solutions.
