Summary:
• Optimize and manage complex Oracle and PostgreSQL database systems for performance, reliability, and availability.
• Design, implement, and maintain efficient processes for data storage, processing, and leveraging.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility to support critical operational objectives.
• Apply extensive Database Engineering expertise and System Security knowledge to architect and secure database solutions.
Qualifications & Compensation:
Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Years of experience: 10+ years
Salary: $261k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and secure Oracle and PostgreSQL database systems.
• Perform advanced database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
• Develop and manage robust data processing pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions.
• Implement and oversee comprehensive data backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Enforce and manage database security policies, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Provide expert-level database administration, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate database solutions and provide technical guidance.
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and best practices to enhance system capabilities.
• Apply specialized knowledge in Oracle, PostgreSQL, Database Engineering principles, and System Security best practices.
