Principal Systems Engineer

This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

This position is part of an operations support team responsible for dataflow implementation including transitions from legacy to modern systems and monitoring of implemented data flows.

Required Skills/Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience OR A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area). OR (U) A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience OR (U) A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
• Linux system administration
• Kubernetes
• Docker/podman
• Running security scans
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues with Elastic products such as Grafana and Kibana
• Jira for workflow management (ticketing)
• Confluence for documentation and artifact sharing
• Provisioning virtual machine resources
• TPAM for account management
• Planned and unplanned outage coordination
