Job Description
The risk of nuclear and dual-use materials, equipment, technologies, or information being diverted to non-peaceful purposes that advance weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs is an enduring challenge. Concurrent with these threats, adversaries and strategic competitors are seeking equipment and technologies to secure a military and/or economic advantage over the United States.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide support for Licensing and Interdiction Activities
Assist with project management tasks associated with emerging technology initiatives (the Microelectronics Export Control lab and the Advanced Technology Export Control program)
Provide assistance for the review of engagements between the DOE national laboratories and foreign entities (DOE Policy 485.1)
Provide assistance for the review of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) event and engagement nominations
Assist with review and standardization of ECRC/I Project Work Plans, Multi-Year Program Plan and Program Execution Plan.
Assist federal employees in management of nonproliferation training courses held in Washington, DC and at the national labs

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The salary range for this position is $87k to $107K.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide support for Licensing and Interdiction Activities

- Perform reviews of export license applications as assigned
- Provide support to interdiction case reviews and other activities as assigned
- Assist in preparing supporting documentation and correspondence for ONEC's participation in the interagency Operating Committee and Advisory Committee on Export Controls
- Attend interagency adjudication meetings, working groups, and other meetings and summarize/track due outs
Assist with project management tasks associated with emerging technology initiatives (the Microelectronics Export Control lab and the Advanced Technology Export Control program)
Provide assistance for the review of engagements between the DOE national laboratories and foreign entities (DOE Policy 485.1)

- Review incoming proposals
- Conduct coordination with other offices within the Office of Nonproliferation and Arms Control (NPAC)
- Assist in preparing briefing materials for the NPAC Assistant Deputy Administrator
Provide assistance for the review of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) event and engagement nominations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS
- Possession of Q-level DOE clearance; possession of or ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree
- Experience with DOE/NNSA
