Job Description
Provides day-to-day operational support for an on-premises Microsoft Skype for Business environment. This role is responsible for daily administration, break-fix operations, monitoring, and sustaining activities to ensure platform availability, performance, and reliability in a highly secure environment.
Core Responsibilities
Perform daily operational management of on-premises Skype for Business infrastructure, including Front End pools, Edge services, mediation servers, and voice components.
Execute break-fix troubleshooting for Skype for Business incidents, service interruptions, call quality issues, and user connectivity problems.
Monitor platform health, service availability, and performance using approved monitoring tools.
Support voice, conferencing, presence, and IM services, including PSTN integration where applicable.
Manage routine administrative tasks such as patching, certificate lifecycle management, service restarts, and configuration maintenance.
Support incident response, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Work closely with Unified delivery leadership and customer operations teams to maintain continuity of service.
Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure all operational activities align with supported Microsoft Skype for Business configurations and best practices.
Support security, compliance, and operational requirements associated with highly cleared environments.
