To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level to which you are applying:
Specialized Experience:
Must have at least one full-time year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (or comparable level of experience from outside the Federal service) performing ALL of the following duties:
1) Evaluating crime prevention programs to recommend changes to reduce opportunities for theft, assault, illegal entry, or other kinds of violations;
2) Reporting information to emergency services concerning serious situation to dispatch support personnel based on specific incidents;
3) Perform law enforcement duties based upon knowledge of laws, statutes, and procedures to maintain order and protect life and property.

Additional information
- Serves as initial point of contact for complaints, inquiries, and/or making personal notification in accordance with established emergency procedures.
- Ensures the police blotter is consistent with AR 190-45 in identifying all recordable offenses occurred during tour of duty.
- Conducts Guard mount with the force to ensure the oncoming shift is aware of ongoing law enforcement matters.
- Ensures proper vehicle inspections and/or operator service checks are properly documented.
- Responsible for operating the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) by utilizing Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD) and/or other equipment.
- Reviews written reports, crime scene security, force protection measures, community policing and/or crime prevention measures.
- Dispatches emergency responders to investigate incidents and/or assist in emergencies.
- Briefs shift personnel by radio on known activities and/or shift information, e.g. stolen vehicles, missing persons, felony suspects in area, etc.
- Provides structured one-on-one training and/or mentoring for newly assigned employees.
- Provides guidance to subordinates as it relates to current federal, host nation, local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
- Maintains knowledge of facilities opening, closing, and duress procedures for all locations.
- Identifies damages to the military police patrol vehicles by annotating on appropriate forms.

- This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance of access for the duration of employment which includes a background investigation and credit check.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 5% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
- This position requires a valid, state-issued and USAREUR Driver's License and must be insurable in order to travel to other locations in the Command's structure.
- This position may require lifting and moving heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- This position may require you to be on-call on a rotational basis, responding to emergency calls at times beyond the normal duty day.
- This position may require you to work planned and/or unscheduled overtime and/or shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential." Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status. You must be exempt from military recall status.
- This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) subject to pre-employment drug test and random drug testing in accordance with Army Regulation 600-85.

Additional information
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
- Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location.
- Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
- Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI 1400.25 volume 1250.
- For positions in a foreign country, that country's laws or international agreements may have a direct impact on the ability of an employee's same sex domestic partner or spouse to accompany the employee and receive certain benefits.
