Program Manager

Duties

• Oversee Mega-like projects requiring additional oversight and tracking to mitigate contractual and project risks.
• Certify allocation of resources are in accordance with policies to ensure funds are spent as authorized.
• Manage project budgets for final approval.
• Provide leadership in establishing and maintaining effective and efficient project management processes.
• Direct employees in management of projects through the control of the project parameters of cost, budget, schedule, scope and quality.
• Represent the District at meetings, briefings, conferences, and hearings with internal and external contacts on matters related to proposed or approved projects.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience GS-14: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which includes: experience in managing large and complex studies, designs or construction projects. Managing programs through the rigorous use of a Quality Management system to include the use Primavera P6 scheduling software to manage project or program schedules. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Education
