The System Engineer applies systems engineering principles across all phases of the system lifecycle, including Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. This role involves close interaction with government stakeholders, program personnel, and senior leadership to address technical considerations, resolve issues, and ensure the integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables. The position supports work across ISO/IEC 15288-defined process areas.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus 15 years of systems engineering experience
High School Diploma or GED plus 19 years of general systems engineering experience
Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus 13 years of systems engineering experience
PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus 13 years of systems engineering experience
Clearance:
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

The System Engineer applies systems engineering principles across all phases of the system lifecycle, including Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. This role involves close interaction with government stakeholders, program personnel, and senior leadership to address technical considerations, resolve issues, and ensure the integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables. The position supports work across ISO/IEC 15288-defined process areas.
Responsibilities:
- Apply systems engineering principles across all lifecycle phases
- Interact with government representatives on technical issues, risks, and conflicts
- Communicate effectively with program personnel, stakeholders, and senior executives
- Ensure technical integrity and quality of deliverables across ISO/IEC 15288 process areas
- Perform systems engineering activities within Technical, Project, Agreement, and Enterprise Process Areas
- Develop and deliver work products across ISO/IEC 15288 process areas
- Analyze technical alternatives and provide recommendations
- Support and contribute to Project and Technical Process Areas
- Independently analyze and recommend design alternatives
- Assist in developing innovative engineering approaches
- Evaluate solutions for project implementation suitability
- Analyze and recommend engineering standards and processes
- Supervise or coordinate contractor engineers and technicians
- Lead systems engineering activities for projects, including oversight of engineering staff
- Approve delivery of work products across multiple process areas
- Independently make decisions regarding engineering methodologies and issues
- Brief stakeholders and present technical project status
- Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes
- Experience working within ISO/IEC 15288 process areas
- Ability to analyze technical alternatives and recommend solutions
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience leading technical teams and coordinating engineering efforts
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences
- Experience developing and delivering engineering work products
- Capability to work independently on technical design and engineering challenges
- Experience developing innovative engineering approaches
- Familiarity with enterprise and agreement process areas
- Prior experience briefing senior stakeholders or government leadership
- Experience establishing engineering standards and best practices
- Leadership experience overseeing large engineering efforts or teams
