Job Description

As a Business Process Manager (Application Development), you'll support a mission-critical government program, serving as the key link between Government stakeholders, Program Management, and development teams. This role drives backlog refinement, process definition, and requirements decomposition to ensure clear, aligned Agile delivery across application and mobile teams.

What you'll do:
  • Translate mission and operational requirements into epics, features, and user stories
  • Lead business process modeling activities (As-Is / To-Be) and workflow optimization
  • Serve as the primary interface between Government stakeholders and technical teams
  • Drive backlog refinement, prioritization, and acceptance criteria definition
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and development execution
  • Support Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend continuous improvement strategies
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and system engineers to ensure delivery success
  • Communicate risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges proactively
  • Maintain documentation and traceability of requirements across the lifecycle

What you'll need to succeed:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to operate in a highly secure, mission-critical government environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline. Additional relevant experience may substitute for degree requirements.
  • 7+ years of experience in business process management, requirements analysis, or application development support
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams, Business Process Analysts or managing Business Analysts in Agile environments
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical delivery artifacts, working directly with Product Owners or civilian or military System Owner
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, preferably SAFe
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or government environments
  • DoD 8140-aligned certification for the 802 - IT Project Manager work role, such as: Security+ (or equivalent DoD 8140 baseline certification)

SALARY RANGE: $165,000 - $207,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
