Shadowgate Partners is supporting a highly sensitive, mission-critical program requiring a skilled Electrician to join a multi-disciplinary facilities team operating in a secure OCONUS environment.
This role is integral to maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of critical infrastructure systems that support both mission operations and base services. The successful candidate will operate within a small, highly capable team of trades professionals, contributing to both planned maintenance and rapid-response repair activities.
Role Summary
The Electrician is responsible for executing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance across facility electrical systems and infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of systems supporting operational continuity.
The role requires strong technical capability, sound judgment in high-consequence environments, and the ability to operate effectively within a team supporting 24/7 mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and repair facility electrical infrastructure and associated systems
Diagnose faults and execute repairs on motors, wiring, control systems, and electrical components
Perform testing and inspection of electrical equipment to ensure safe and compliant operation
Respond rapidly to system faults, outages, and emergency maintenance requirements
Install new electrical systems and infrastructure as required
Maintain and update technical documentation including drawings, panel schedules, and procedures
Accurately complete work orders, time reporting, and safety documentation in digital systems
Collaborate with Facilities Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure consistent service delivery
Support a culture of continuous improvement, reliability, and operational excellence
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in facility maintenance or a comparable technical environment
Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, systems, and terminology
Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices
Familiarity with Work Health & Safety (WHS) / Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards
Experience working with facility systems supporting critical operations
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and make sound technical decisions
Working knowledge of 110V (U.S.) systems, or willingness to learn
Ability to expand into adjacent technical areas (e.g., high voltage, power generation)
Desired Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Archibus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
Experience with industrial electrical systems and power distribution
Knowledge of industrial control circuits and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Certifications & Licenses
Required:
U.S. candidates: State Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent)
Low Voltage Rescue certification
Preferred:
Working at Heights
First Aid / CPR
Forklift License
Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
Confined Space
Experience
Minimum of 4 years post-trade experience
Experience supporting diverse power distribution systems strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be medically fit to safely perform all physical aspects of the role, including:
Lifting and handling moderate to heavy loads
Working in confined, elevated, or uneven environments
Accessing and navigating active maintenance areas
Security Requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security and medical clearance.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph preferred
