What We're Looking For
As a Software Engineer Level 2 at CyberPoint, you will design, develop and maintain software solutions supporting mission-critical systems. You'll work across the full software development lifecycle - analyzing requirements, building scalable solutions, and ensuring performance and reliability in complex environments.

This role requires strong collaboration with system engineers, hardware engineers and mission stakeholders to deliver high-quality software aligned with operational requirements. You'll also play a key role in improving development processes, mentoring team members and ensuring technical excellence across deliverables.

This position is 100% onsite in Maryland and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.
What You'll Do
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Design, develop and modify software systems to meet mission needs
  • Debug existing software and resolve defects to improve system performance
  • Integrate existing software into new or evolving systems and environments
  • Develop and implement algorithms that meet performance and functional requirements
  • Design and implement complex database queries and data interfaces
  • Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to define system capabilities and constraints
  • Develop and execute test procedures to validate software components
  • Produce and review technical documentation for software and system designs
  • Monitor system performance and coordinate software installation to ensure operational compliance
  • Provide recommendations to improve software development processes and documentation standards
  • Support or lead software development teams and ensure quality and timely delivery of work products
  • Perform quality control across team deliverables
This position is 100% onsite and requires an active TS/SCI + Full Scope Polygraph Qualifications

What You'll Need
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
    • OR Four (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Eight (8) years of experience as a Software Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity
  • Strong Experience with:
    • Python
    • Bash
    • JavaScript
    • React
    • Grafana
  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining complex software systems
  • Experience with database queries and data repository integration
  • Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional engineering environments
