Database Engineer

We are hiring a highly experienced database engineer to support complex, mission-driven systems in a secure environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings deep expertise in database architecture, data modeling, and system design, and enjoys driving performance and reliability across enterprise-scale solutions.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a subject matter expert across database engineering and system design efforts
• Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvements and define technical requirements
• Develop requirements documentation, functional models, and system architectures
• Design and implement database solutions within multi-tiered environments
• Build and maintain database structures, schemas, and data models
• Develop and maintain automated installation and deployment scripts
• Support planning, analysis, and execution of engineering and technical initiatives

What You'll Bring

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Ability to work onsite in San Antonio, TX up to five days per week
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience

Experience Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in the functional area
• 10 years of combined experience across:
• Database development and software engineering
• Database design and data modeling
• Requirements analysis and generation
• Systems and software architecture development
• 5 years of experience working with EnterpriseDB
• 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL

Technical Capabilities:

• Proven experience developing and maintaining automated installation scripts
• Hands-on experience building database solutions in multi-tiered environments
