Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BDA and DAS Design Engineer to support a leading telecommunications client. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on experience delivering seamless wireless coverage for public safety and commercial users, with full lifecycle involvement in the design, planning, and implementation of in‑building wireless solutions to ensure optimal coverage and capacity. This role will leverage iBwave Design software to develop Cellular LTE/5G as well as IFC and NFPA‑compliant in‑building wireless systems supporting buildings, tunnels, and other structures for law enforcement, security, and commercial applications. We are seeking a motivated engineer who takes ownership of their work, thinks proactively, and collaborates closely with Project Managers, Installers, and other DAS stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
REQUIREMENTS
• 4+ years of experience in Public Safety & Cellular DAS design.
• Proven experience conducting site surveys and gathering requirements for system design.
• Proficiency in using iBwave Enterprise design software.
• Level 3 iBwave certification required.
• Strong understanding of RF principles and wireless communication technologies.
• Experience with various types of antennas, amplifiers, and other DAS components.
• Experience in the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cable and understanding cable test result information
• Able to travel to customer site for assisting in the troubleshooting, diagnoses and resolution to DAS coverage issues Ability to have customer facing design reviews, requirements gathering and training
• Experience with small, large and very large venue DAS design (Hospitals, prisons, multi- story buildings and stadiums)
• Experience with DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration and troubleshooting
Compensation: $44hr to $62hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
