This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As an Enterprise Data Enablement Support Systems Engineer, you will support activities that optimize the customer's data availability and utilization to drive mission success. You will promote cross-program coordination and technical collaboration to reduce integration risk. An ideal applicant will be open-minded with the ability to adapt to evolving circumstances and grow in the following areas:
- A willingness to learn and understand how data moves within the customer organization, and how systems communicate to leverage data's full potential.
- A desire to apply technical skills to shape the future of data architecture, internally and externally.
- An interest in focusing on enabling data interoperability across the customer organization and its partners.
- Possess an instinctive aptitude to leverage information and knowledge sharing networks and navigate conflict in a way that fosters constructive outcomes.
- Produce system engineering and technical documentation, develop schedules, and support validation and verification activities.
- Generate reports that summarize analysis of data representations and data to provide data-driven insights to customers.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plusat least 10 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years ofexperience. A high school diploma or GED plus 14 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
- SIGINT experience.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in small teams with staff and local SMEs that may include people with non-technical backgrounds.
- Ability to produce, singularly, and in small groups, engineering documents related to data - including but not limited to its structure and format.
- Willingness and ability to frame complex problems into a range of course of actions for the purpose of providing recommended actions to the USG.
- Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Desired Skills
- Technical understanding of design, architecture principles and techniques, data formats and data flow management to take business requirements from concept to implementation.
- Exposure to, and understanding of, cloud technologies.
- Ability to model complex mission workflows for the purpose of identifying core systems and data that are commonly used across many mission workflows.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting to complete assigned tasks within expected.
- Command line experience.
