Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
The Supply Technician - Munitions is responsible for safety, security and accountability of all nonnuclear munitions and related components. Munitions System Specialists perform and manage munitions production and material tasks and activities. Identifies munitions and equipment requirements. Operates and maintains automated data processing equipment (ADPE) to perform inspection, testing, and stockpile management activities. Stores, maintains, issues, and delivers nonnuclear munitions for shipment. Routinely demilitarizes nonhazardous munitions. Operates Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Develops and implements munitions materiel management concepts and procedures. Complies with explosive, and ground safety, security, and environmental directives and practices. Identifies munitions by filler, color code, marking, or physical characteristics.

Job Overview

- Inspects ammunition, components, and containers for defects.
- Prepares documentation indicating identification and quantity of assets.
- Performs routine demilitarization of non-explosive munitions items.
- Repackages munitions and applies container markings.
- Receives, stores, handles, and transports non-nuclear munitions.
- Unloads and unpacks munitions. Checks shipping documents for accuracy.
- Delivers munitions to storage, or maintenance areas. Prepares munitions for shipment.
- Determines and maintains storage facilities, reports, safety and security requirements.
- Performs inspections and maintains inspection and storage records. Issues non-nuclear munitions.
- Performs munitions materiel management and materiel accounting functions.
- Performs and oversees management and procedural application of manual and automated positive inventory control.
- Determines inventory control actions. Conducts inventories and corrects discrepancies.
- Accomplishes requisitioning actions and maintains due-in, due-out, and status files.
- Maintains source document control and ensures validity and completeness.
- Prepares reports. Operates and maintains ADPE for munitions accounting, reporting, and status configuration.
- Use forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain courteous, professional relationships with co-workers and the Maxwell/Gunter community.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in an ordnance or munitions career field. Air Force or military warehousing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Air Force Supply policy and procedures and experience with Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS) system is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Munitions Inspector Training and Certification as determined through Air Force and local requirements. Current certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain a CDL w/ Hazmat Endorsement. Current CDL preferred.
- Ability to obtain Forklift certification. Current certification and experience, preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to organize clear thoughts and communicate verbally and in writing to various levels of authority.
- Able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Warehouse environment: must be able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time. Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, carry crates of munitions, and stack loads. Stand for an unspecified amount of time, walk, drive, kneel, squat, bend, crawl, stoop, reach, climb ladders push and pull heavy loads with pallet jacks or hand trucks. Must have the ability to be able to walk quickly, or run, unassisted, in the event of an emergency evacuation of the MSA.
- Valid Driver's License.
