Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Program Manager to lead and manage critical Information Technology (IT) initiatives and projects in support of the Department of Defense (DoD). The IT Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT programs that align with DoD's operational requirements. This position requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of DoD-specific technologies, regulations, and protocols.
As an integral part of our federal contracting team, the IT Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring the successful delivery of IT solutions and services while adhering to DoD standards and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Program Oversight and Leadership:
o Lead and manage multiple IT programs and projects supporting DoD operations.
o Direct the development, planning, implementation, and execution of IT strategies and initiatives in line with DoD requirements.
o Serve as the primary liaison between the client, senior leadership, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of objectives and timelines.
o Provide strategic direction and leadership to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
• Project Management:
o Plan, initiate, and monitor IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
o Oversee project resources, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring proper risk management and mitigation strategies.
o Develop and track project milestones, providing regular status updates and reports to stakeholders.
o Manage client expectations and communicate any project-related issues or delays effectively.
• Risk Management:
o Identify program risks, challenges, and obstacles, and develop proactive strategies to address them.
o Mitigate potential issues and ensure compliance with DoD guidelines, standards, and security protocols.
• Quality and Compliance:
o Ensure all IT solutions and services meet the quality standards and security requirements set by DoD policies.
o Ensure adherence to industry best practices, federal regulations, and DoD-specific cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
o Coordinate audits, assessments, and reviews as needed to verify compliance.
• Team Development:
o Mentor and support junior program managers and IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
o Facilitate training and development opportunities to enhance team competencies in federal contracting and IT management.

Qualifications:
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience:
o A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in managing IT programs or projects, with a focus on federal government or DoD contracting.
o Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams, as well as engaging with DoD clients and stakeholders.
o Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex IT programs in a government contracting environment.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and cloud solutions in a DoD context.
o Experience with DoD cybersecurity protocols, including NIST SP 800-53, RMF (Risk Management Framework), and FISMA compliance.
o Familiarity with DoD IT systems, networks, and technologies (e.g., JIE, DISA, Command and Control, tactical networks).
o Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMI).
• Certifications (Preferred):
o PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent Project Management certification.
o ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certification.
o Security+ or other DoD-related cybersecurity certifications.
• Security Clearance:
o Active DoD security clearance Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS SCI) required.
