Job Description
• Company: Northrop Grumman
• Position: System Administrator
• Location: Schriever
• Duration: long term, ongoing contract – we are a direct sub to the C2BMC program
• Clearance: Secret, will hold TS if you already have it
• Program – C2BMC
"Essential Functions:
• Maintains frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in delivering solutions to challenging technical issues related to specific projects
• Occasional work outside of regular hours may be required
Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
• This position will serve as the first line of defense for user-level interactions and issues
• The role will primarily involve supporting users in person, over secure phone, email, or instant message (IM)
• Since this position will be customer-facing, strong customer service skills, in addition to IT expertise, are essential
• You must be comfortable diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with remote users daily
• This role will also support MDA flight tests, focus on integrating R&D systems into C2BMC, and contribute to other ongoing X-Lab projects as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Creating domain accounts with restricted security group addition abilities
• User password resets and VDI troubleshooting
• Application installation and troubleshooting support for users
• User Thin Client Troubleshooting
• Collaborate with the Active Directory team and compliance/patching admins to review and improve updating processes and procedures
• Administrative experience with RedHat 7/8/9 in an enterprise setting
• Experience with Windows 10/11 administration in an enterprise setting
• Additionally, over 3 years of experience supporting users in an enterprise-level system
• Experience in installing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux applications
• Comfortable interfacing professionally with users and customers in an IT service setting
• Ability to write and edit technical documentation of processes and procedures in solutions such as Atlassian Confluence"
