Duties
As a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY)-TITLE 32, GS-0203-7, you will serve as a final reviewer and/or processor of actions in various systems that support personnel management. Review files prior to action by a board, action officer, or others. Summarize facts and issues; analyze case information; outline options; and recommend appropriate action. Ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met. Participate in SRP and command inspection program. Identify inconsistencies in records and initiate actions to obtain data. Support reorganization/activation/deactivation of personnel. Research and obtain information regarding cases and provide explanations of relevant rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements. Prepare correspondence for signature and enter data in automated systems. Retrieve data from information sources to answer questions, respond to correspondence, or prepare reports or briefings. Provide advice, guidance, and training to other personnel on actions in areas of expertise. May provide advisory services to family members of deceased military members and serve as a liaison between the family and funeral directors and their assistants, Veterans Services Organizations, Veterans Affairs Offices, National Guard Bureau (NGB), Regional Casualty Assistance Coordinator (CAC), and other military services and/or members. Provide assistance by advising of entitlements and provide information or assistance with filling out any required forms. Perform other duties as assigned.

RANK REQUIREMENT:
Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
Wear of the military uniform.
Position may require a pre-employment physical.
May be subject to furlough actions.
May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must obtain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.
This position is located on a tobacco free facility.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Administrative or clerical experience which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience performing personnel transactions. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
