SALARY RANGE $171,000 - $228,000/year

DUTIES As a successful candidate for the Software Engineer III (SE3) role, you will support a fast-moving software engineering team delivering multiple UI applications within a microservice ecosystem, collaborate in a highly dynamic and team-oriented environment that encourages ownership of system design, work closely with mission stakeholders and customers to deliver impactful UI-focused solutions, and leverage your experience to drive development, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across the full software lifecycle.

Required Skills

SKILLS

• Develop and maintain Java microservice web applications
• Work closely with the tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap
• Resolve challenging software engineering design problems
• Interact with the customer to resolve issues and propose new features
• Support testing and deployment of production applications

QUALIFICATIONS Twelve (12) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

• Experience with design, debugging, and problem-solving with Java
• Experience with RESTful web applications
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience interacting with MongoDB or similar database technology
• Experience with Automated testing

Desired Skills

• Full-stack experience with a focus on Java or a JVM-based language
• Experience with Kafka
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Linux administration
• Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
