We are seeking a Junior Windows Administrator to work night shift and serve as a member of a Service Integration team. This role is full time onsite in Colorado Springs, CO supporting a U.S. Government customer.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will:
- Build, configure, deploy, administer, maintain and troubleshoot virtual and physical servers/systems.
- Ensure system changes are completed in accordance with developer documentation, configuration management and documentation practices.
- Make recommendations to plan, develop and execute work plans that achieve critical-path requirements.
- Perform necessary physical inspections and research using system/event logs and appropriate tools/software to identify problems, trends and aid in troubleshooting actions.
- Provide timely updates to appropriate team leads, managers and stakeholders on status of tasks and troubleshooting efforts.
- Install, configure, and manage on-prem Active Directory environment including configuration and implementation of GPOs.
- Assist integration leads and managers in problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation as needed.
- Advise team members and leadership and make appropriate technical recommendations regarding system development issues and improvements, optimization tools and methods, process creation and development, and support efforts.
- Use REMEDY ticketing system to report, track and document incidents and resolution of actions on faulty systems.
Qualifications
- Must have 2 years of directly relatable experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications such as Windows Server 2022 and Windows 11.
- Must have strong knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers, Sites and Services, DNS, Group Policy, TCP/IP networking and LDAP.
- Must have experience with Multi Factor Authentication methodology.
- Must have experience building, configuring and deploying servers/systems in a virtualized environment.
- Must be able to interface with software engineers, system engineers, and subject matter experts to solve complex integration and technical problems.
- Must have a current DoD approved 8570 Level II certification such as Security+ CE.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a strong understanding of troubleshooting approaches and root cause analysis.
- Have experience with security patching and software management using WSUS.
- Have a working knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
- Have a strong understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Have a degree in an IT or Engineering related discipline.
