Construction Control Representative

Duties

• Performs bid-ability, constructability, operability, environmental and sustainability reviews of plans and specifications.
• Observes and investigates construction at all stages to identify conformance and/or concerns.
• Inspects contractor workmanship, equipment and materials in order to recognize and identify deviations from contract requirements.
• Reviews as-built drawings to ensure changes in plans and specifications have been accurately noted.
• Compiles data and prepares a variety of correspondence and reports.
• Ensures strict adherence to safety provisions of the contract and that the contractor's safety program is effective.
• Detects and ensures the correction of unsafe conditions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting plans and specifications; inspecting materials and workmanship to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with contractual requirements; reviewing contractor-submitted documents for accuracy and adequacy; and furnishing field information for construction progress. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
