Our client is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to support the U.S. Army’s Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) initiatives. The right candidate will have 1+ year of accounting or finance experience, exposure to financial systems or reconciliations, and the ability to operate in a client-facing consulting environment. This role requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain one). Must be able to work a hybrid work schedule onsite in the Washington DC area, Fort Sam Houstin in Texas, or Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.

Desired Skills & Experience:
● US Citizen
● Active DoD Secret clearance
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field;
● 1+ year of accounting or finance experience (federal or commercial; internships accepted);
● Experience with general ledgers, financial statements, reconciliations, or audit support
● Understanding of financial systems and data validation processes
● Ability to analyze large datasets and identify discrepancies
● Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
● Exposure to tools such as SQL, Python, Power Platform, or similar technologies processes

Responsibilities:
● Support financial reporting, audit response, and remediation activities
● Perform reconciliations, data validation, and financial analysis
● Analyze financial datasets to improve accuracy and audit readiness
● Coordinate with government stakeholders to meet audit requirements
● Assist in preparing audit artifacts and supporting documentation
● Contribute to process improvements across financial operations
