The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

What You Will Do
- Enhance optical engineering skills working with EO hardware testing and debugging assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve/document concurrence and resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
- Travel Requirements: less than 10% annually
What You Will Learn
- Gain knowledge of various electro-optic design or analysis.
- Achieve an RTX Core Certification and receive Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) Training.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with any of the following: EO analysis or design.
- Experience with laboratory optical measurement equipment.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.
- Experience performing engineering design of EO subsystems; including test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, EO component fabrication, assembly processes and related industry specifications.
- Experience with any of the following tools: Code V, and MATLAB.
- Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices.
- Self-starter who's capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team. Providing technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.
