Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with the installation, testing and sustainment of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCENN), Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-S), Open-Source Information Systems (OSIS), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS), and any other networks MCIOC has connections
- Identify system problems due to system component connections and notify appropriate Network Owner for problem resolution
- Sustain engineering support of network systems
- Assist Government personnel with the installation design, new cabling, equipment, associated hardware and software to extend and enhance existing services
- Establish new user accounts, configuration & support for laptops, and the configuration/adjustment/maintenance of commercial cell phone assets and remote email services, assist users with remote/VPN access
- Arrange and coordinate with hardware maintenance personnel for the repair of Network IT equipment
- Troubleshoot and assist with software and hardware problems for Domain Users
- Assist in maintaining the Configuration Baseline for all Laptops and Workstations in the Command
- Assist in maintenance and inventory of VoIP Phones, STE Phones, VTC's, Printers, and Audio-Visual Equipment
- Test and document components for communications architectures
- Assist Government personnel with administration of the network storage arrays and Email Archiving System
- Support the Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS)
- Assist Government personnel with administration of the Command Storage Area Network Fiber Channel Routers and switches
- Operate and maintain network management systems to include primary and limited functional backup network operations centers and in-band/out-of-band network management systems
- Assist Government personnel in the upkeep, organization and cleanliness of the Server Room and associated Network Closets within the Walt Hall facility
- Assist Government personnel with engineering and design requirements for Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes to include Authority to Operate (ATO) development and security requirements
- Assist Government personnel in updating section operating procedures, and
- Assist Government personnel in escorting information technology and audiovisual professionals who visit the facility to perform S-6 related tasks
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of VMWare and Windows operation and functions
- Knowledge of hardware configuration.
- Knowledge of system performance characteristics
Minimum Qualifications:
- Civilian education must be beyond high [1] school level (e.g. some accredited college level education toward a degree).
- Shall meet certification requirements of Information Assurance Technician IAT Level II, accredited in accordance with DoDD 8140. CompTIA Security+ is mandatory certification for the DoD. Contracted personnel must hold the following Microsoft certifications: Exam MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator) and Exam MD-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator).
- At least 3 years of related experience
- TS/SCI clearance level
