Software Engineer – Mission Systems & UI Focus
As a member of a small, agile CNO team, you will help establish end‑to‑end prototypes, define requirements, and contribute to both existing and new systems to enhance infrastructure awareness. The role involves close engagement with mission stakeholders to rapidly iterate on requirements and deliver deployable solutions, including necessary scripting support, on accelerated timelines.
Job Roles
- Design and implement AI‑assisted IDE features and developer productivity tooling.
- Integrate agent‑based systems to support repetitive or time‑intensive developer tasks, including code reviews, unit test generation, and code quality analysis.
- Experiment with autonomous and semi‑autonomous agents to assist software development workflows.
- Integrate new tooling into existing development platforms, pipelines, and environments.
- Collaborate with customers and teammates to gather feedback and iteratively refine solutions.
- Measure, analyze, and document the effectiveness and impact of productivity improvements.
Job Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills in one or more modern programming languages.
- Experience working with IDEs, developer tools, or build and test systems.
- Hands‑on experience with AI‑ or LLM‑powered developer tools, including chat‑based interfaces or automated coding agents.
- Ability to rapidly prototype, evaluate, and refine experimental tooling.
- Solid understanding of software development workflows, practices, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with automated code review platforms or static analysis tools.
- Knowledge of agentic AI frameworks or orchestration systems.
- Experience contributing to developer platforms or internal engineering enablement teams.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience developing Visual Studio Code extensions using TypeScript and Electron.
Education & Experience
- 12 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
