Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
• Design, troubleshoot, and test defense grade mixed signal electronics incorporating embedded processors (FPGAs, SoCs, SoMs), ADCs/DACs, and power distribution networks within challenging SWaP constraints
• Design, troubleshoot, and test RF PCBs, modules, and chassis across multiple frequency bands including L band, S band, C band, X band, Ku band, and Ka band
• Collaborate closely with firmware and software engineers to support application development and test equipment design
• Partner with manufacturing teams to apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices and resolve technical issues discovered during hardware build and test
• Support system level integration by working with system design and integration teams
• Participate in laboratory testing, debugging, and validation activities to ensure hardware performance and reliability
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of experience RF hardware design
• Hands on experience designing, testing, and manufacturing analog/mixed signal PCBs or integrated RF/microwave assemblies
• Strong laboratory experience using test and measurement equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and related tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience developing exciter, transmitter, receiver, and antenna subsystems
• RF circuit modeling, simulation, design verification testing, and characterization
• Knowledge of radar and communications system principles
• Experience with industry standard EDA tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, PADS, or Altium
• Familiarity with VPX/VNX, FMC/FMC+, and open systems architectures
• MATLAB and/or Python experience for modeling and simulation of radar and communication signal processing
• EMI/EMC mitigation and test experience
Compensation:
$75,000 to $125,000 per year annual salary.
