Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Life Cycle Engineering department is seeking a Senior Principal Logistics Specialist (Repair & Return) to support the GLOBUS and FSSMI programs onsite in Woburn, MA. In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team to oversee repair contracts for sensor systems, ensuring repairs are tracked, completed, and returned to customers in line with contract requirements. You will operate in a dynamic environment, prioritizing program needs and collaborating across functions, including operations, supply chain, and finance, to provide accurate reporting to customers.

What You Will Do
  • Support the Integrated Product Team Lead by directing asset repair and return activities and providing logistical oversight across teams.
  • Track assets throughout the repair lifecycle and ensure accurate status reporting.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports for internal and external asset transactions and approvals.
  • Evaluate repair expenditures and schedules, obtaining program or customer approval as needed.
  • Provide guidance to supply chain, operations, and depot logistics points of contact (POCs) to support material procurement, repair inductions, and asset shipments. Escalate challenges or obstacles to the Program Management Office (PMO) and work with functional groups to maintain schedules.
  • Partner in developing long-term repair and return strategies aligned with technical requirements and customer needs.
  • Assess repair and return processes, recommend improvements, and drive increased efficiency and reduced turnaround times.
  • Track, manage, and report repair status and budgets, participating in estimates at completion (EAC) reviews.
  • Provide data for monthly contract deliverables and participate in program reviews and customer meetings.
  • Contribute to proposals, including developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and support risk and opportunity management.
  • Implement continuous process improvement techniques to improve repair turnaround times and database management, while mentoring and developing team members.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with logistics support, depot repair facilities and related processes and/or manufacturing.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with self-initiative.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of factory operations and production processes.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to achieve results through influence and negotiation.
  • Knowledge and application of logistics principles, with experience in radar or sensor systems. Proficiency with tools and systems such as ALCS, PRISM, MSALT, eWAR, CMES, or comparable SAP and Citrix-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing and routing DD250 and DD1149 forms.
  • Solid understanding of government acquisition processes, as well as DoD/DFAR statutes and regulations.
  • Experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to manage cost and schedule.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, distill, and analyze large quantities of data to identify trends.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Project, at an intermediate or advanced level.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
