Position Overview The Emergency War Order (EWO) Support Specialist will support HQ Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) in providing System Engineering Support (SES) services for ICBM and helicopter operations.

Essential Job Function
- Conduct analysis/develop briefings on ICBM employment
- Draft and support production of AFGSCIs, checklists, and other documents to support crewmember execution of STRATCOM requirements
- Conduct detailed review of new or changed publications for impact on crew procedures and advise appropriate offices so any affected crewmember documents/materials can be updated
- Prepare and assist AFGSC action officer with conducting EWO Conference activities to include preparation of meeting announcements, milestones/schedules, agenda, presentation materials, minutes, action items and meeting logistics
- Provide technical review and on-site expertise as necessary for 20 AF document production
- Provide technical expertise and data review for AFGSC's support to CJCS Vol VII requirements
- Provide analytical expertise to AFGSC for computation of the ICBM Force Commit for AFGSC/CC submission to USSTRATCOM
- Conduct analysis of national level EAP direction and assess impact on ICBM crew procedure timelines
- Develop and assist with administering EAP Timing Studies for new/modified ICBM crew procedures. Monitor, gather and compile report data supporting Force Commit times reported to USSTRATCOM as part of CJCS direction for ICBM crew reaction timelines
- Coordinate/monitor development, acquisition, and implementation of ICBM operational hardware/software to ensure STRATCOM requirements are met
- Provide expertise in other significant war fighting issues requiring mathematical or engineering support
- Provide briefings, papers, reports, memorandums and other documentation as required for the ICBM operations mission
- Provide expertise in the development, review, and testing of revised ICBM Command, Control, and Communications procedures
- Draft and coordinate responses as required to EWO Guidance and Clarification memorandums received from subordinate units
- Design, draft, write, program, test, and administer biennial ICBM crewmember Global Strike Challenge simulator scripts
- Must possess Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Must have a bachelor's degree
- Must have eligibility for Special Access Programs (SAP) and access to: Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information (CNWDI), Restricted Data (RD), Formerly Restricted Data (FRD) and Nuclear Command & Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI)
- At least 7 years' headquarters (MAJCOM, NAF) staff experience
- At least 10 years' ICBM Operations experience
- At least 10 years' Emergency War Order (EWO) experience
