ICAM Software Developer (Junior to Mid)
NASA's Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) is seeking a contractor to join its software developers to create and maintain custom developed solutions. This role will specifically be supporting ICAM's IdMAX (Identity Management and Access Exchange), NAMS (NASA Access Management), custom container applications, and integrations. These solutions predominantly utilize Spring Boot and JAVA.
The developer will be responsible for understanding functional and technical system requirements, designing and implementing applications, handling deployments, and working closely with the operational support team on testing, troubleshooting, and providing Tier 3 operational support as needed for delivered solutions.
The developer will be working under the general supervision of the development lead, an experienced mentor, and working in an agile team environment.
Education:
BS/BA Degree in Computer Science is preferred but other IT-related degrees will be considered as well.
Experience:
Junior to Mid - Less than 4 years of related work experience
Required Skills:
This position requires solid skills in designing, developing, and supporting of enterprise-level solutions in a heavily Java-centric environment. The skills listed below are strongly needed.
- Java
- Spring/Spring Boot
- Web Development technologies (HTML, Bootstrap UI, Javascript and Javascript-related libraries, JSON, JSPs, REST/SOAP Web Services, XML, Thymeleaf, etc)
- SQL and relational database design (primarily MS SQL Server)
- MyBatis
- Maven
- Git / GitLab
- Familiarity with container platforms (such as RedHat OpenShift) and related technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
- Familiarity with CI / CD delivery pipelines
- Proficiency in IDE of choice (Eclipse, InteliJ, etc)
Other Desired Skills:
The skills listed below will (or may be) needed but can be picked up later as required.
- Understanding the fundamentals of digital certificates and related technologies
- Kapitan
- Kibana / Elasticsearch
- Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
- GraphAPI for integrations with Entra ID

Location: Remote (proximity to NASA center is strongly desired)
