Job Title: Image & Signal Processing Engineer / Scientist
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced engineer or scientist to develop advanced image and signal processing techniques applied to complex imagery datasets in a mission-focused environment. The successful candidate will design and implement methods that transform raw imagery data into actionable outputs, with a focus on scalable, real-time, software-driven solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong foundations in signal processing and applied mathematics with hands-on experience manipulating imagery data programmatically and developing robust processing pipelines.
Candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement image/signal processing algorithms for complex imagery datasets
• Use imagery analysis to inform, validate, and refine processing techniques
• Refine and optimize software for low-latency, automated processing
• Develop data processing pipelines to transition software to operations
• Integrate data from multiple sensors or modalities using fusion and multi-aperture techniques
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transition software into operational systems
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or another math-intensive field
• 5+ year’s experience in image processing, signal processing or scientific computing applied to imagery
• Strong proficiency in scientific programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar)
• Experience with imagery formats and data handling
• Experience with imagery data collection and sensor systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to both work independently and contribute in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or math-intensive field
• Experience with computer vision or image processing libraries (e.g., OpenCV or similar)
• Experience with high-performance computing, GPU acceleration, or parallel processing
• Familiarity with intelligence-related domains or operational environments
• Experience working with large or complex datasets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
