Job Description
Model-Based Systems Engineer MID-LEVEL will develop and apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models to support the mission of the Air & Space Intelligence Center. This role focuses on creating system reference models and performing system analysis using modern MBSE practices.
You will contribute as an individual technical contributor while working effectively in a collaborative team environment. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential to deliver high-quality modeling and analysis products.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain system reference models in support of intelligence and analysis objectives using MBSE methodologies.
• Conduct system analysis leveraging MBSE models to evaluate system behavior, interfaces, performance, and trade-offs.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Support continuous improvement of MBSE modeling standards and workflows.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. (Master's + 4+ years)
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering or applied systems engineering.
• Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility (required).
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Qualifications
• Hands-on experience developing SysML models using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or equivalent.
• Experience applying MBSE to aerospace, space, missile, or intelligence-related systems.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex engineering data into structured, reusable system models.
• Strong technical writing and briefing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
