Job Description
• Company: Northrop Grumman
• Position: Lab Network Engineer
• Location: 9975 Federal Drive in CoSprings
• Duration: long term, ongoing contract – we are a direct sub to the C2BMC program
• Clearance: Secret
• Program – C2BMC
"Essential Functions:
Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to:
• Installation and configuration of Linux and Windows HW platforms from the OS up to the C2BMC developed applications
• Documentation and verification of all installation and configuration steps in the documentation to be delivered to the customer
• Develop installation scripts to automate the system installation
• Develop test plans and procedures for software integration, conduct integration, perform detailed data analysis, and prepare software test reports.
• Coordinate software integration test execution to verify system operation.
• Collaborate with software developers to diagnose and identify root causes of problems found during integration
• Submit problem reports for errors found
• Responsible for implementing all Information Assurance directives and running IA scans on the systems
• Task and coordinate daily integration activities with other local team members
Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Network Security, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Demonstrate experience integrating separate software components into a single system
• Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up
• Experience with VMWare systems administration and installing
• Experience with Information Assurance policies, procedures, and requirements for existing systems
• Experience with scripting and automation technologies
• Experience with Git
Preferred Qualifications:
• A master’s degree is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with automated test tools
• Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code
• Familiarity with Java and object-oriented development is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
• Demonstrate knowledge of the C2BMC concept of operations and user interface
• Experience writing installation manuals
• Write clear, concise system installation and configuration instructions
• Communicate effectively and establish strong working relationships with software developers, system administrators, and analysis and test engineers"
