Job Description
Position: Software Engineer
Customer: VA Customer
Program: Geospatial Intelligence Program
Onboarding Duration: 2-3 weeks for crossover
Duration: Long Term
Location: McLean, VA
Interview Process: 1 Round
- Technical Environment: (*team is willing to train/ longer description available after initial screening*)
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and product leadership to refine and document application requirements for Geospatial Intelligence missions.
- Design and implement modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular, React, or Vue frameworks
- Build and integrate backend APIs using Node.js (Nest.js) and Python-based analytics services.
- Build and deploying applications in AWS environments.
- Use relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Use UI component libraries (PrimeNG preferred) and/or Tailwind CSS.
- Integrate external data sources, analytics libraries, and query engines to support complex workflows.
- Partner with UI/UX designers and power users to deliver intuitive, data-driven user experiences.
- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Test and validate features to ensure functional, performance, and usability requirements are met.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
