Summary:
• Manage Linux virtual machines within leading cloud environments, including AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Perform comprehensive Linux system administration, encompassing applying updates, troubleshooting issues, and deploying critical monitoring tools and applications.
• Collaborate effectively with DevOps teams to enhance operational efficiency and deployment pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Perl.
• Leverage a diverse set of technologies including Ansible, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, NiFi, and Nagios to manage and optimize infrastructure.

Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Years of experience: 10+ years
Salary: $233k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Oversee the full lifecycle management of Linux virtual machines deployed in AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Execute advanced Linux system administration tasks, including system patching, security updates, performance tuning, and incident troubleshooting.
• Design, implement, and maintain system monitoring solutions and deploy various applications on Linux infrastructure.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate system administration activities into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Develop robust automation scripts in Python and Perl to streamline system operations, configuration, and maintenance.
• Utilize Ansible for configuration management and orchestration of Linux systems and cloud resources.
• Manage and deploy containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes.
• Implement and manage data ingestion and search solutions leveraging NiFi and Elasticsearch.
• Configure and maintain Nagios for proactive system monitoring and alert management.
• Apply deep expertise in Linux operating systems, cloud services, and system administration best practices to ensure highly available and performant systems.
