Job Description
Intelligence Support to Information Operations (ISIO)
A Combatant Command (CCMD) Intelligence Analyst will provide intelligence support to
Operations Security (OPSEC) and Military Deception (MILDEC) planners.
Key summary:
• Locations: Colorado Springs, CO; Tucson, AZ; Sierra Vista, AZ
• Current TS clearance with SCI-eligibility required
• Intel analyst with higher headquarter experience supporting IO, MILDEC, or OPSEC
• Experience in NORTHCOM’s southern border operations strongly preferred; DHS and IC
experience may be an acceptable substitute for military schooling
• 5 x positions in total; a range of experience levels hired; salaries from $85-$160k
• Fully funded for immediate hire
Key responsibilities
• Participate in the development of intelligence and non-kinetic effects targeting activities
to align collections and provide feedback on influence activities
• Provide intelligence support for the development of CCMD OPSEC and MILDEC plans for
USNORTHCOM and/or Joint Interagency Task Forces.
• Coordinate, consolidate, submit, and track intelligence requirements.
• Use in-depth Intelligence and analytic skills to identify, assess, design, and report on
highly complex adversary collection priorities, strengths, weaknesses, order of battle,
force structure, military capabilities, key military leadership, military policies, plans,
strategies, intentions, and their impact on force developments in support of the
USNORTHCOM J39 planning efforts and operational execution.
• Investigate adversary decision processes (e.g. OODA loop) and intelligence collection
systems to identify conduits and information pathways.
• Identify Critical information (CI) that may expose friendly vulnerabilities to adversaries
across physical, informational, and human aspects of operational environment.
• Analyze adversary collection capabilities, technical means, and information exploitation
threats that affect USNORTHCOM operational security.
• Develop collection plans facilitating planning, execution, and feedback for measures of
performance and measures of effectiveness.
• Assess information effects and provide recommendations into the targeting process for
refinement of targeting guidance and objectives.
• Utilize knowledge of joint doctrine and joint planning concepts, to include the Joint
Operations Planning Process (JOPP).
• Synchronize OPSEC and MILDEC intelligence efforts.
• Coordinate with military and interagency partners as directed.
• Evaluate the success of OPSEC and MILDEC operations by monitoring adversary
behavior, analyzing intelligence, and reviewing Measures of Performance (MOP) and
Measures of Effectiveness (MOE).
Qualifications and skills

• Current DOD Top Secret/SCI clearance (or SCI-eligible based on previous investigation)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational experience
• 3+ years of experience in operational intelligence experience.
• Staff level planning and CONOP development experience in CCMD, component, or Sub
Unified Command level – Information Operations, MILDEC, or OPSEC experience
• Experience conducting adversary threat analysis of adversary network organization, key
nodes, collection priorities, and vulnerabilities.
• Experience providing intelligence support at a strategic/joint level.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in national security, intelligence, operations planning, or related fields.
• Experience in the NORTHCOM AOR.
• Experience providing intelligence support to MILDEC including Operational Deception
(OP-D, Deception In Support of OPSEC (DISO), and Tactical Deception (TAC-D).
• Thorough understanding and current experience with the Joint Operations Planning
Process (JOPP).
• Experience drafting applicable intelligence portions of OPSEC and MILDEC plans, orders,
and assessments.
• Familiarity with Special Technical Operations (STO)and Special Access Programs (SAP).
• Expert understanding of Intel-related databases such as M3, TAC, NCTC Online, TIDE,
ICReach SIGINT database, Cultweave SIGINT database, PROTON SIGINT Database
• Expert understanding of Intel targeting tools such as the Skope toolset or the Voltron
toolset.
• Practical understanding of geospatial Intel tools such as ArcGIS and Google Earth.
• Experience with incorporating SAP and STO capabilities in plans and operations.
• Graduate of the STO Planner Course and PDAS User Course.
• Graduate of a recognized Intelligence Collections Support Course at the Joint or Service
Level and Information Operation planning experience.
• Experience conducting intelligence nodal analysis and critical vulnerability assessments
of enemy networks to identify and nominate key nodes for kinetic and non-kinetic
options.
• Expert knowledge regarding counterintelligence and human intelligence activities.
Work environment
• ISIO Planners will work with military and government civilians at NORTHCOM/J394 or its
component commands or Joint Task Forces in secure areas
• Job includes ability to travel to conduct OPSEC planning and assessments and MILDEC
coordination.
Compensation
• Commensurate with experience, capability, education and benefits required. Salary
expected to be between $85,000 and $160,000.
