Job Description

Duties

  • Monitors multiple sources (classified and unclassified) to identify new taskers and action items.
  • Captures these project planning elements in a comprehensive plan of action and milestones (POA and M) that documents participant roles/responsibilities, key milestones, work products, and means of assessing their adequacy.
  • Provides guidance on analytical methodologies to be employed and the form of inputs
  • Monitors status/progress of response development activities and documents/reports progress.
  • Review all prep materials, presentations, briefings, draft messages and decision packages with a critical eye.
  • Coordinating with originators to ensure they are clear, concise, complete and accurate. Develop draft messages for the Deputy Chief of Staff requiring command support.
  • As assigned, supports the executive team's presentation of resulting white papers, reports, and briefings to the Commander and higher-echelon cyberspace program authorities by providing back-up analytical support.
  • Collaborates with other project participants to frame quick-turn-around responses and reclamas during the review process to assure these analyses contribute to the executive team's, Commander's, and higher echelon authorities' decision making.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R.
  • Must pass urinalysis testing, as required, prior to appointment, reassignment, or transfer and periodically thereafter.
  • The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 10% of the time.
  • The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
  • The employee must obtain and maintain the following requirements for each Cyber work role (except Data, AI, and/or Software Engineering) at the assigned proficiency level:
  • 1) Foundational qualification requirements within 9 months, 2) Resident qualification requirements within 12 months, 3) 20 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per work role code (which can overlap).

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Managing incoming classified and unclassified taskers that may require actionable responses from senior leaders. 2) Coordinating priority issues through email triage to make recommendations as to the nature and form of responses. 3) Analyzing information to ensure presentation through reports, briefings, and displays, and 4) Maintaining working relationships with professional peers within and outside of an organization to stay well-informed of cyberspace program trends.
