CACI's Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager in support of an Air Force Modernization program.
As the Senior Engineering Manager, you'll lead the Engineering team in an infrastructure modernization of unclassified and classified base area networks to include site survey, design and installation activities across wired, wireless, broadband and ISP/OSP.
This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, security protocols, and the ability to manage complex projects within stringent deadlines and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of network engineers, provide guidance and mentorship while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage site surveys and Engineering teams by allocating resources, coordinating training, reviewing work and conducting Government reviews supporting the survey and design of the modernized network architecture
- Collaborate with Air Force leadership, IT staff, and external vendors to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress and outcomes. Facilitate Technical Exchange Meetings
- Manage the creation of network architectures, topology diagrams, and data flow artifacts (Visio) for wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions, focusing on Standardization, high availability and performance
- Knowledge ISP and OSP Industry / Air Force standards for fiber optics /copper cabling, and wireless technologies
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Ensure all network designs and implementations adhere to Air Force security policies and regulations including STIG checklists, port/protocol/service documentation, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) in compliance with DAF and DoD RMF standards
- Manage the implementation, security, testing and cutover of the approved architecture by managing resources, schedule and quality of the installations
- Provide/Coordinate Sr level support as required
- Ensure all installations are installed per the approved design and industry/Air Force standards and meet industry safety standards
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related work experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role (HS diploma/associate degree with 15+ years performing as an Engineering Manager in DoD supporting large, complex networks may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree)
- Direct experience modernizing Air Force Base Area Networks
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, architecture, and security practices
- Excellent project management skills with experience managing subcontractors and project/financial forecasting
- Superior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Visio) for documenting network layouts
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as LiDAR, Ekahau and other automated applications
- Certifications CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC; CCNP or CCDP or equivalent
- Must currently hold U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
