The Opportunity:
CACI's Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is seeking a Lead Network Plant Engineer (ISP/OSP) to support an Air Force Modernization program.
The Lead Inside Plant/Outside Plant Engineer will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of both inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) telecommunications infrastructure for Air Force facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of fiber optics, copper cabling, testing technologies and wireless/network equipment to ensure robust and reliable communication systems in support of Air Force operations.
Responsibilities:
The Inside Plant/Outside Plant Engineer will work closely with project managers, network engineers, and field technicians to ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Develop ISP/OSP architectures to support the design and optimization of the supporting network infrastructure in alignment with program requirements.
- Provide guidance to survey teams in the documentation of physical fiber and copper cable plants, power connections, conduits, patch panels, and OSP drawings.
- Review Site Survey ISP/OSP information and develop survey reports
- Provide Tier 3 support to site personnel for the operations, maintenance and documentation of physical fiber and copper cable plants, power connections, conduits, patch panels, and OSP drawings.
- Ensure installations are performed per the approved design and within safety standards and work site conditions, including restoration of the site to original or better condition.
- Oversee and support deployment teams for survey, installation, testing, and QA activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related work experience (HS Diploma/associates degree with 12+ years performing as a cable plant engineer on large, complex programs may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree)
- Experience in network planning, design strategies for an enterprise BAN, design of infrastructure and network services, designing WLAN RF, and advanced wireless site surveying
- Familiarity with Air Force and industry telecommunications regulations and standards.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optics, copper cabling, and wireless technologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Visio) for documenting network layouts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
