The Opportunity:
The Technical Engineering Program Support Contractor will provide engineering and technical support to the Electro-Optic Technology Division, specifically for Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and laser systems. This role involves serving as a technical and program/project specialist to support the development, evaluation, modification, installation, maintenance, operations, or testing of complex electronic systems within a narrow area of electronics engineering.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
Technical Analysis and Evaluation:
- Perform trade studies, engineering/technical analysis, and other technical evaluations to assist VAS and laser systems in requirements allocation.
- Assist in the development and finalization of requirements, behavior, use cases, architecture, and other relevant technical documents.
- Review technical documents and recommend improvements to foster standardization of document types, formats, and data file naming.
Documentation and Standardization:
- Assist in writing procedures, work instructions, and design practice criteria to standardize Electro-Optic Technology work products.
- Investigate issues pertaining to VAS and laser system requirements and associated engineering changes.
- Evaluate technical specifications and applicable performance requirements.
Test and Acquisition Support:
- Recommend and prepare inputs for test plans, procedures, logistics, and acquisition requirements.
- Evaluate changes to VAS and laser system artifacts for technical accuracy and impact.
- Assist with updating VAS and laser configuration management documentation.
- Support LXN with engineering services as required.
Travel and On-Site Support:
- Provide personnel to travel to off-site locations to support engineering technology and program/project support for VAS and laser systems.
- Be present on-site at NSWC Crane to support the review of collateral information and in-person technical exchanges with engineers, test, or logistics personnel.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience working with lab management of electronic systems.
- 2+ years in business operations management.
- Leadership and management of technical scope, schedule, deliverables, development efforts, and cross-functional team coordination.
- Excellent writing and communication skills pertaining to business planning and project development.
- Understanding of EO business operating procedures and requirements.
- Knowledge of the government communities that work in and with EO.
- Active Secret Clearance or Interim Secret Clearance
