Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Systems Engineer. This role will focus on supporting digital transformation initiatives across the Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) division.

The selected candidate will work with a team of Systems Engineers, Design Engineers, Process Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to support MS&B in maturing the next-generation Digital Engineering (DE) & Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for Engineering and Manufacturing. This system is the foundation of our digital transformation and the future of advanced Engineering and Manufacturing capabilities, including Model-Based Engineering, Life Cycle Management and Cross-Discipline Collaboration.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will utilize strong communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams, management, customers, and suppliers to help resolve technical issues and support organizational objectives.

Primary Responsibilities (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of DE/PLM tool capabilities, managing tool transitions and data migrations to ensure standardized digital data and model management practices across teams. Partner with MS&B capabilities to define and draft processes to be released into the tool baseline.
  • Oversee the deployment and optimization of DE/PLM tools, providing technical guidance to enable effective system performance analysis, design validation, and support for verification and validation activities. Assist in deployment of tools on production efforts.
  • Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training programs to enhance team proficiency in DE/PLM technologies, fostering continuous learning and adoption of industry best practices to drive innovation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in program tracking, reporting processes, collaborating with Program & Digital Transformation Engineers to troubleshoot issues using 3DExperience and related applications.
  • Analyze engineering data to identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and improve data integrity, facilitating accurate and timely data delivery to suppliers and customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document system requirements, enhancing understanding of best practices and tools for effective requirement management throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Apply systems thinking to assess program interdependence and monitor performance against established baseline plans by gathering and analyzing technical, budgetary, and schedule data.
  • Prepare and present briefings for stakeholders on program status, earned value metrics, and key performance indicators, while identifying and communicating risks, issues, and opportunities affecting program health.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, operating independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.


This position will be 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • Systems Engineering experience or equivalent
  • Experience as a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience with Dassault 3DExperience and integrated applications (such as NX and Teamcenter Visualization)
  • Working experience and exposure to Product Lifecycle Management, Engineering and Manufacturing business processes such as Change Management, Bill Of Material (BOM) Management, and Bill of Process
  • Active security clearance
  • Experience as a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts
  • Experience with Military or Commercial aircraft design and/or analysis experience within Airframe, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Propulsion, or Systems
  • Experience of how to derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle
  • Experience working across multiple business units and/or complex organizations
  • Experience communicating with senior leadership and program customers.

$85,000 - $115,000
