Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a Network/Systems Performance Analyst Lead to provide systems and data analysis for the AFCENT Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) at Shaw AFB. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
5+ years experience in network and systems analysis. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified (or hold equivalent certification in compliance with DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II). Must hold the following certifications: CCNA, SolarWinds Certified Professional, and NCA. Must hold the ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations certification or be able to obtain the certification within 60 days of hire. Experience with SolarWinds, Netscout, and UNIX/Linux. Working knowledge of network and or end user device monitoring tools/system a plus. Must be proficient in all aspects of the system life cycle and understand large-scale system development. Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills. Must be able to provide support in a 24/7/365 environment including occasionally covering shifts outside of the assigned shift and/or providing after hours, weekend, or holiday support as needed on a rotational basis. Must be able to travel to CONUS sites to provide TDY support. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
- Analyze a wide array of networking metrics and recognize substandard network performance.
- Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware, software and services using a project-based timeline.
- Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth and network security incidents.
- Make expert decisions and recommendations on how to resolve, improve, or prevent network problems/issues.
- Engineer, implement, and sustain network monitoring and management tools and ensure tools are properly functioning and collecting network telemetry and performance metrics to support troubleshooting and analysis functions.
- Develop and update IT systems concept of operations and engineering plans.
- Submit daily performance reports and ensures automates performance tools are functioning correctly.
- Manage files storage and safeguards data.
- Coordinate all efforts closely with Modeling and Simulation and engineering (Systems, Network, Cybersecurity) to ensure adequate data collection and prevent overlaps or conflicts of effort.
