Junior Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• We are looking for a Junior Security Specialist with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements to join our team at Quantico, VA.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties in support of security procedures and requirements.
• Process mail for distribution; receive and return telephone calls; prepare correspondence; create reports; type and prepare documents; perform data entry; receive and process new cases (Notifications of Incoming Personnel; Congressional and SCI nominations)
• Performs database queries using PERSEC, JCAVS, and the DCII; prints reports/results; retrieves case files; makes appropriate database entries; prints case worksheets; and provides case file to the appropriate government specialist or contractor.
• Destroys confidential documents.
• Processes security documents and visit requests.
• Sends, receives, and processes confidential and classified materials.
• Sets up and maintains files.
• Coordinates classified reproductions.
• Maintains security precautions and performs a variety of complex clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
• U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
• One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $47,200.00/Yr. - USD $78,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
