Systems Administrator – Level 2
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Compensation: $152,000 – $170,000 + 15% employer 401(k) contribution
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Level 2 Systems Administrator to support programs of significant scope, type, and complexity. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing secure systems, ensuring compliance, and supporting technical operations in a SCIF environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Linux systems (RHEL/CentOS) in a secure environment
Implement and manage security compliance tools such as IAVAs, Cyborgbunny/Nessus/Tenable
Automate system tasks and configuration management using LatteArt and Ansible
Support cloud infrastructure operations within AWS
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
Collaborate with program teams to meet contract deliverables and technical requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years as a Systems Administrator on programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university required; five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted for a degree
Proven experience in SCIF environments
Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS), IAVAs, Cyborgbunny/Nessus/Tenable, LatteArt, Ansible, and AWS
